Management & Board

Marcus Bracklo (CEO)

Marcus H. Bracklo is the CEO of Vanguard AG. He has been a director of Vanguard since 2008, from 2008 to 2011 as a non executive director, from 2011 to 2015 as CEO, from 2015 to 2018 as non executive director and since 2018 again as CEO. Before joining Vanguard he founded the consulting and investment company Baigo Capital GmbH which has been a shareholder in Vanguard AG since 2008. Marcus Bracklo has a degree from the London School of Economics and aubsequently worked at the OECD in Paris. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant and Wirtschaftsprüfer and became a Partner at Price Waterhouse. His subsequent positions were: Partner and Head of the European Healthcare Corporate Finance Group of Arthur Andersen, Managing Director at Sal. Oppenheim where he founded the Healthcare Investment Banking Group which he led for many years. Marcus Bracklo has been active in the healthcare sector for over 30 years. Marcus Bracklo is non executive director of EuroEyes International Eye Clinic Ltd in Hong Kong and non executive chairman of the healthcare consulting firm Lohfert AG in Hamburg.

 

 

Supervisory Board

Wolfgang Boorberg (Chairman)

Wolfgang Boorberg is an auditor, tax consultant and legal counsellor for civil, commercial and corporate law. He is self-employed, working as a consultant for medium-sized companies. He is also the managing director and senior partner of Boorberg GmbH. He holds positions on various supervisory and advisory boards.

 

Dr Ulrich Wandschneider

Dr. Ulrich Wandschneider is a business consultant and a non executive director of several companies in the Lifescience and Healthcare Sector – some publicly quoted and subject to coedtermination. From 1987 to 2004 he worked for the consulting firms Arthur Andersen and Deloitte, the last seven years as partner. From 2004 to 2019 he was first CEO and from 2012 non executive chairman of MediClin AG. Additionally he was appointed CEO and later executive Chairman of the Asklepios Hospital Group from November 2011 until September 2018.

 

Ulrike Marczak

Ulrike Marczak gained a degree in industrial engineering from the Fachhochschule Stralsund. She held management positions at Biomet from 2000 to 2009, before joining the Vanguard Group in April of 2009. From 2009 to 2013, Marczak held various positions at the company, most recently head of operations. Since 2013, she has been the managing director of Angiokard Medizintechnik GmbH.
