That’s why Vanguard AG is now sponsoring an agroforestry system. This year, the innovative agricultural company Gut&Bösel, together with the Finck Foundation, established an agrosilvopastoral agroforestry system spanning 26,5 hectares, featuring nearly 8 kilometers of tree rows. Thanks to our support, plot 701 could be financed.
What makes this approach special is the integration of trees, arable land, and pasture on a single plot. The land is used simultaneously for growing woody plants and crops, as well as for livestock grazing. This improves soil fertility, boosts biodiversity, and helps prevent soil erosion. Additionally, it provides shade and wind protection for grazing animals. 🌳🐑
