Sustainability in focus for the 20th anniversary of the EHRA Congress.
What does sustainability mean from the perspective of a reprocessing company? Viola Vahle, our Business Development Manager, spoke about this question at this year’s European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA) Congress in Barcelona.
The EHRA Congress brings together scientists, healthcare professionals and specifically on the topic of cardiac arrhythmias worldwide. In 20 years of EHRA, sustainability has been given a place in the event for the first time. In addition to 17 physicians from ten countries and other experts, Vanguard also gave a short presentation about sustainability from a reprocessing company´s perspective.
The panel “Sustainability of EP procedures in 2023” examined various perspectives on the topic: What can the industry, the medical professional, and patients do to make healthcare more sustainable? What regulations does the EU already prescribe?
With an unprecedented scale, it was a special pleasure to share our work and aspirations on stage: To establish remanufacturing as a sustainable solution in healthcare.
Viola Vahle was able to stimulate discussions with her presentation and relevant data and facts. “The topic of sustainability is becoming more and more present in the minds of the stakeholders. It was agreed that we are all affected by the topic and that it will play a greater role in the future,” she sums up.
