In the run-up to the federal elections, Gesundheitsstadt Berlin, the network for Berlin and Brandenburg, invited renowned experts to share their visions and positions on the “best healthcare” for Germany into writing, aiming to provide impulses for the ongoing coalition negotiations.
The authors specifically criticise that “hospitals and healthcare providers are increasingly backed into a corner and are refraining from investing in innovative and resource-efficient solutions.” However, many existing approaches could already be utilised to steer healthcare towards a more sustainable future.
