Sustainable Practices Integrated into Everyday Clinical Operations

The partnership between Marien Gesellschaft Siegen and Vanguard AG has been in place since 2014. In 2023 alone, 527 EP catheters were sourced as certified, reprocessed devices. This resulted in savings of 463 kilograms of CO₂ equivalents and nearly 46 kilograms of waste. In environmental terms, this is equivalent to the annual carbon sequestration capacity of approximately 115 trees. Over ten years, the cumulative impact is substantial.

Broad Acceptance and a Holistic Approach

Sustainability is actively communicated throughout the hospital network and is continuously being developed. Medical remanufacturing has now become established not only in the field of cardiology but is also gaining ground in surgical operating theatres.
